About Us

I made to myself as a young boy. I watched my beloved grandmother lose her sight to glaucoma, and it broke my heart to see her struggle with something that seemed preventable. From that moment, I was determined to make a difference, to ensure that others wouldn’t have to experience the same pain. Driven by this motivation, I pursued a career in Optometry and Ophthalmology, dedicating my life to helping others protect and restore their vision. When my own mother developed cataracts, I was able to use my skills and knowledge to manage her condition and save her sight. That experience solidified my mission. With this passion, I founded Balija Eye Care Center, named in honor of my grandmother. Over the years, my team and I have helped over 4,000 patients across Nigeria and around the world. Each person we’ve helped is a step closer to fulfilling the promise I made—to bring clarity and hope to those in need, and to ensure that others can see the world with healthy eyes.
